There are a lot of products and services out there that make our jobs as freelancers easier and more profitable. I have used every single one of these products, and dozens more. These are a few of my faves that I have gained the most from.
An email list manager. You can sign up for a $1 trial, and prices are as low as $19/mo. AWeber allows you to create custom sign-up forms, manage lists, create email templates, schedule emails to your various lists and more. They require a double opt-in, so there is no way you can ever be accused of spamming someone. It’s really the best email service around.
David Risely: Six Figure Blogger Blueprint
This free report is 49 pages chock full of tips on becoming a more profitable blogger. From choosing a niche to building a list and creating product, this report really shouldn’t be free – it’s so valuable! Also available in audio, for those who like to learn by osmosis.
ViperChill and Cloud Living, by Glen Allsop
Glen is a kid, and he lives better than the rest of us combined. He’s a wunderkind when it comes to affiliate marketing, niche sites, and providing value to your readership. ViperChill is his blog, where there’s a wealth of free info a couple of times each week. Cloud Living is his e-book, where he puts it all together for you in far more detail. It’s not expensive, either – only $37. If you’re shopping for a guru, forget about it. Guru’s are frauds. Learn from someone who’s already done it. (just following a few of his tips helped me optimize my sites for better ad return)
Ali Hale
If you want to make money blogging, Ali Hale is your go-to girl. Her Staff Blogging Course ($19 – 90 day guarantee) helped me learn a lot of little tricks to make myself more marketable as a blogger. I was able to score gigs writing for small and medium companies, projecting their voice, and earning great money doing it. Click here to visit Ali Hale.
Darren Rowse – ProBlogger
Whether you blog for yourself or as a staff blogger, Darren can help you get the most out of it. ProBlogger is the site, where you will find plenty of helpful, free information. And the 31 Days to Build a Better Blog Workbook (based on a course he gave last year) is $19.
Lynn Terry is a maven of affiliate/internet marketing. The whole damn blog is a fantastic free resource. Add her to your reader today! Start with these posts:
Rosalind Gardner: Super Affiliate Handbook
Both Lynn Terry and I use this phenomenal resource for improving conversion rates. Totally worth the $47, when you consider the valuable information contained in it.
